The two preschool teachers rushed over to see me this morning as I collected the latest samples of C’s prolific artistic expression.
“She sure loves to paint!” I quipped, imagining exactly where these last two paintings would end up. (No. Come on! Not the trashcan. Probably the trunk of the car. Maybe. You know. If I forget to clean it out for a while.)
“Oh! If you keep just one thing she paints this year, that one is the one you should choose!” One teacher excitedly told me.
“Really?” I was skeptical, but I opened the folded up paper. I fully expected to see the usual scribbled mess of paint, but instead a smiling face looked up at me.
“She’s the first in the class to be drawing accurate representations of people!” The other teacher crowed.
“Well, yes, but that’s nothing new. She’s been drawing people for a while.” I was about to answer, but then I saw what they were so excited about. Can you see if you can spot it?
