In two weeks Little L will be 9 months old. She will officially have been out in the world as long as she was in the womb.
I’m still 12lbs over my pre-pregnancy weight, and 19lbs over my goal weight.
I’m still wearing clothes at least two sizes over what I want to be wearing.
And I still can’t stop shoving my face full of things that aren’t helping me drop the extraneous weight.
My friends at Weight Watchers just sent me a box of goodies that have arrived in the nick of time. Apparently they’ve been reading my mind; time to get back on the wagon! I keep losing and gaining the same three pounds and it just has to stop. Haven’t my hips noticed that it’s almost bathing suit weather? Hasn’t my brain noticed the disastrous food choices it’s making?
Enough is enough. Tomorrow I’m taking control of the situation, and I’m taking you with me. No joke. Clearly I can’t do this alone; I need you to help me along. So I’m starting my very own weekly blog carnival: Fit Fridays. (It was going to be Thin Thursdays, but focusing on health seems so much more mature than focusing on thin. No?) And in honor of the very first Fit Friday I’m going to host my very first contest, but I’m getting ahead of myself, let me introduce Fit Fridays first.
Once a week, let’s say Friday just for the heck of it, come here to see what healthful thing I’ve done during the week to help me reach my goal. It could be that I journaled all week, or the details of a walk I took, or maybe it’s just the recipe for something yummy and healthy that I cooked.
And you? You ask? Well, you blog about something healthful you did during the week. You know, to keep me motivated and make me feel less alone in my quest for
the perfect a healthy body. See? It’s brilliant, we promote our blogs and get healthy at the same time! Then we’ll be the most gorgeous most popular bloggers on the internet. Bwahhahhaha. (Insert maniacal laughter here.) OK, fine, a girl can dream, no?
To kick off the health craze I’m going to start by making a healthy vow for the coming week.
