Almost time to go home

I’ve watched the stats tank. I’ve stared at the empty blogger screen. I’ve searched the dark recesses of my brain for something to describe, something to highlight, something to write about… but all to no avail.

We’ve been in NJ for almost a week. There hasn’t been more than a brief moment of down-time. Yet, I can’t seem to bring myself to write about any of the excitement. I’ve made such a point of not writing about family that I can’t break the moratorium, even though I have all their express permissions to do so.

So I haven’t written about the awesomeness that is watching my big baby play, play, play with her cousins. Or how fun it is to watch her expression when she wakes up and says “Wow! Dere a lotta toys here!” Or how the baby has slept in my arms every night since we got here and how I can’t wait to go home, just so I can enjoy rolling over again without worrying about crushing her. Or even about the incredible food that we’ve enjoyed every single night. Or! Or! Wintuk! The Cirque du Soleil family show that we went to yesterday. C’s face for the two hours the magic unfolded was priceless. Yesterday was hands down the most exciting day she’s had in her whole little life. She could not have been cuter.

So… yeah… I guess there is a lot to write about. Maybe I just need to digest all of it before I can spew it all out. Sunday afternoon we head home. I’m sure I’ll have much to say come Monday.
