“This morning when I told C that we had to leave she came running into the kitchen clasping a doll in one arm and slinging a purse over her other shoulder.” I told a mom shortly after I dropped her off at daycare. “She’s such a girly girl.”
“Well, at least she doesn’t sleep with a Zamboni.” The mom responded.
Say what you will, there’s a huge difference between girls and boys, and I really don’t think it has anything to do with societal influences. These two kids spend their days in the same very gender neutral environment, and I’m pretty sure that little boy doesn’t rock his Zamboni to sleep after pretending to feed it a bottle.
