Four years ago at this time we clinbing into a car, exhausted after an afternoon of dancing to some amazing jazz tunes up in the clouds above Woodside, CA. Before that we had a fabulous meal with some 130 of our (not really) closest friends and family. And even before that we stood in front of all of those 130 people and vowed to love each other come hell or high water. I’d show you all pictures, but, ah, we don’t actually have any. We have big sheets of teeny tiny pictures of the wedding, but we haven’t ever picked out the pictures that we want…
I know it sounds corny, but I really don’t know where the last four years have gone. It feels like the wedding was yesterday. However M has gone through three years of law school, we’ve had a baby and I’ve been at my current job for three and a half years and those things don’t happen over night so it must have been four years ago.
For the first time ever M got me an anniversary gift. (He doesn’t so much believe in anniversary gifts, which is just fine with me.) He scored big big points. Chocolate covered gummy bears and an assortment of gummy candy. Gotta love a man who knows how to pick the perfect gift!
(I love this picture. I think I could have sold it to People and pretended he was a movie star… It’s the total paparazzi daddy shot.)
