"She sure loves to paint!" I quipped, imagining exactly where these last two paintings would end up. (No. Come on! Not the trashcan. Probably the trunk of the car. Maybe. You know. If I forget to clean it out for a while.)
"Oh! If you keep just one thing she paints this year, that one is the one you should choose!" One teacher excitedly told me.
"Really?" I was skeptical, but I opened the folded up paper. I fully expected to see the usual scribbled mess of paint, but instead a smiling face looked up at me.
Cute, hun?
But that wasn't all."She's the first in the class to be drawing accurate representations of people!" The other teacher crowed.
"Well, yes, but that's nothing new. She's been drawing people for a while." I was about to answer, but then I saw what they were so excited about. Can you see if you can spot it?
Yeah. That's right. Those are boobs right there in the middle of the chest. Cute, hun?

My son (in kindergarten) wrote a story, complete with very detailed drawing, of how my daughter bit me when she was nursing. It was also anatomically correct...the teacher thought it was hilarious!
Very funny! :)
I love it! It's so fun when our little ones do things that completely surprise us. It validates us as parents, let's us know we're doing a great job, and really is their expression of love - what we really want to have! Thanks for sharing!

Love the big beautiful eyes!
Very nice! :)
Grace has been forming smily faces with things like strings and whatnot.. and yesterday at the park she drew a face at the park with chalk. I was pretty proud.. she hasn't done that before.
HAHAHAHAHA! that's great! You must have just died laughing!
