Tomorrow is the deadline for a contest that I entered a month ago. All I have to do is edit the first 2500 words of my novel and write a 500 word synopsis. Easy enough, right? Yeah, you'd think so. Here's what I have done so far today instead of getting to work.
- wrote my first article for Type A Mom.
- sent a couple emails.
- did a little entrecard jumping. You click from one entrecard ad to the next. It's kind of like Russian roulette; some blogs are awesome, and some are really, really bad.
- checked writing job listings.
- contacted people I had sent resumes to to let them know I was still interested.
- read blogs.
- read blogs.
- read more blogs.
- watched TV.
- took C to her 3 year check-up only to learn that the scheduler made a mistake and we were three months early. (If I hadn't just escaped from scheduler hell I'd be a lot more irritated.)
- took C and Little L to get C the promised "I was so brave at the doctor's office" reward; another hallowed Polly Pocket.
- lurked on some forums.
- delurked on another.
- ate some Chinese food. yum.
- answered some work emails.
- phoned a friend.
- phones another friend, and another, and yet another.
- twittered!
- and finally wrote this blog post.
It's now 9:46. Have I even looked at the first paragraph of the novel? Yeah. Not so much. But the living room is so messy... maybe I should clean up a little. No?
How do you procrastinate?

Ha. That's EASY.
World Wide Web.
Need I say more?
:)
@Vered. HA! That's the story of my life. Between the net and the TV I could spend months doing absolutely nothing.
Wait! I did do that, I think it was called maternity leave!
I procrastinate by doing...EVERY.SINGLE.THING. Except the thing that I am supposed to be doing. I just graduated college and I always waited until the last minute to get my homework or papers done.
much the same way you do LOL and then I wonder how I ever managed to procrastinate as well w/o the 'net
When I run out of my standard ways to procrastinate (surfing the web, reading blogs, playing some games, etc) I procrastinate by thinking up MORE WAYS to procrastinate. I'm bad! *LOL*
