Dump the loser!

Dear Teen Me,
As I sit here and gaze on the sweet face of our sleeping second child, I just have a few words of wisdom to share with you.

Dump the loser. Now. Don’t hesitate. Don’t look back. He’s not worth your while. In fact, he’s been cheating on you since day one.

I know. I know. You don’t want to believe me, but I’ve been there and I know what I’m talking about. He’s an idiot who’s messing up the best thing that ever happened to him, but I promise, it’s his loss, your gain. Move on.

As for everything else? Hang in there. Things might get a little muddled for a while, you might have trouble finding your way, but all you have to do is listen to your heart and trust yourself. Forget worrying about what people think of you, just worry about finding something that makes you happy, even if it seems absurd at the time.

Things are good over here. Just make sure you enjoy the ride over.
